Hydrogen UK is delighted to announce its partnership with The Foresight Event 2026, one of the UK’s leading clean energy and innovation forums. The collaboration will bring hydrogen to the centre of discussions on energy transition, investment, and technology, underscoring its pivotal role in achieving the UK’s 2030 net-zero ambitions.

The Foresight Event 2026 will bring together senior decision-makers from government, industry, and finance to explore the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the clean energy landscape. This year’s programme places hydrogen at the heart of its agenda, recognising the sector’s critical role in decarbonising transport, heavy industry, and power generation.
Callum Murfet, Policy Advisor from HydrogenUK, will be moderating the “Hydrogen at Scale: Building the Market, Fast” session, a high-level discussion exploring how to accelerate the development of a comprehensive UK hydrogen market. The session will unite leaders from across the energy ecosystem to address market confidence, policy mechanisms, and innovation opportunities driving hydrogen growth.
Through its partnership, Hydrogen UK will help ensure that the conference reflects the latest developments in hydrogen technology, investment, and policy, while providing a space for collaboration across sectors and disciplines.
The partnership comes at a pivotal moment for the UK hydrogen sector, as momentum builds around major infrastructure projects, clean hydrogen production hubs, and the forthcoming Hydrogen2Power Framework from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, a strategic roadmap expected to define how hydrogen will integrate into the nation’s power system. With this framework on the horizon, Foresight 2026 offers a crucial platform for aligning industry ambition with emerging policy direction.
As the UK’s leading industry association for hydrogen, Hydrogen UK unlocked commercial-scale deployment and fostered investor confidence. The Hydrogen at Scale session will bring together industry leaders and our existing partners such as Tim Davis, the Chief Executive of Hiiroc and Ian Livingston from Equinor.
The Foresight Event 2026 will convene senior leaders from government, industry, finance, technology, and academia for two days of insightful dialogue on the UK’s energy and industrial transition. Taking place on 4-5 February 2026 in Liverpool, the programme will feature opening remarks from representatives of the UK Parliament’s Energy Security and Net Zero Committee, alongside keynote addresses, panel debates, start-up showcases, and an exhibition of cutting-edge Hydrogen developments and solutions.
