Any individual can nominate a company, person, or project which includes yourself, your company, or your own project.
Once the nominations close, our carefully selected judges will review the nominations and create a shortlist for each category. The judges have been chosen and will be revealed before the conference in 2024. The Hydrogen UK team are not part of the judging panel.
The winners will be announced at The UK Hydrogen Awards on the 11th of March 2024, which is taking place at the NCC in Birmingham as part of the Hydrogen UK Annual Conference.

The Innovation Project award recognises a company or project that has made a significant contribution to innovation in the hydrogen sector over the past 12 months. The successful company or project will demonstrate cutting edge, first-of-a-kind technologies or applications that push the boundaries . The project can be in any area of the hydrogen value chain but must demonstrate how the innovation contributes to the scalability of the hydrogen sector.

The Infrastructure Project award recognises a project which has made a significant contribution to the development of hydrogen infrastructure in the UK. Infrastructure is a key part of the hydrogen value chain linking supply and demand, and the successful project will demonstrate how the developments delivered can benefit the wider sector.

The Hydrogen for Transport award recognises a company or project which can demonstrate significant achievements in the mobility sector and has done outstanding work over the past 12 months to advance hydrogen technologies in one or more of the following areas:

The Future Hydrogen Leader Award recognises a young individual (circa. 35 years of age or under) who has made a significant and outstanding contribution to the hydrogen industry. Eligible candidates can include researchers, engineers, project managers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and other individuals who have played a critical role in advancing the development and utilization of hydrogen in the UK.
This award aims to honour individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and innovation in their contributions to the hydrogen economy and have made a significant impact on the industry’s growth and sustainability.

The Industrial Application award recognises a company or project that, over the past 12 months, has made positive commercial or technical contributions to the use of hydrogen in industrial applications, in one or more of the following areas:

The Green Project award recognises a company or project from the hydrogen industry that has excelled in the previous 12 months making significant commercial or technical contributions to the electrolysis or green hydrogen businesses in one or more of the following areas:
Innovation and Green Hydrogen Solutions – through innovation of existing solutions, the project is making a key impact in the energy transition and implementing new, effective strategies on the ground.
